Could my laptop be breaking my chargers?

I've had my laptop for about two years. The charger it came with worked flawlessly for about the first year, then it started only working if it was in a certain position, and as time went on it got progressively harder to find a position it would charge in, and then one day it finally broke all together. So I ordered a new one, that one worked perfect at first, but within a week it began to do the same thing, that one only lasted a few months. So I went to a computer store and invested in a $50 charger, and I've had this one for 2 months and it's doing the same thing again!!! It's to the point now where it's barely charger, while it's on my lap I'm literally afraid to breathe too deeply because it will make my charger stop working. That is how sensitive it is. I can't keep buying chargers. At first I thought it was just the charger but now I am convinced it's something to do with my laptop shorting them out. Could it be my battery? What should I do? I can't afford a new laptop right now :(

This is a tough one....They may be sensitive or allergic to the smell so it is your responsibility to resolve this.....Steaming a carpet is not a solution as the pee goes into the padding and cant be extracted.......As a Landlord I have learned the hard way that carpet sucks...and install quality pre finished hardwood floors and tile in my rentals...I have also pulled every inch of carpet from my own home.. Yes hardwood floors will cost you but their are attractive and a solid investment in your property...Then you never have problems like this.....Also -never allow pets.

Will this be a good car sub?

I have two jl audio 12w1v2-4's powered by the r500-1 and they hit so freaking hard! This obviously wont hit as hard because it is just one sub but it will sound great. Jl audio is known know to make some of the lowest hitting subs on the market. The sealed box will give you that punchy bass that you are looking for instead of the boom that you get with ported boxes. It is a great setup.

What should I paint the walls?

My husband picked out dark red curtains for our apartment's living room. It's the only thing he insisted on, so I don't want to change them. The carpet is a tan and the walls are currently off-white. Aside from the foster care, I could have written this. But I can hardly remember my childhood AT ALL..just snapshots..(which sux) The only thing I could think of, besides counseling, of course, Is to find something you are good at, or learn something that will increase your self esteem. Plus, you might want to think about getting on anti depressants. It doesn't mean you're week, nor does it make you feel weird. It just takes the edge off of depression/anxiety. It makes things more managable. Once you get a clear perspective and/or get on track( it seems you lost your way, or got side tracked by jerks) you could stop them. BELIEVE ME.( try effexor..works for me).It takes away social anxiety, and just plain old makes things more managable. Good Luck!

Severe Fear of People and I don't know what to do?

Ok so I have a severe and crippling fear of people. I don't ever leave the house except when I am forced to by my parents. I honestly don't know whats wrong with me. I've been to multiple therapists who assume I have Social Phobia but I don't think I do. My problem isn't really with talking to people its with being around them. If I am around other people or even just one person I have really bad panic attacks. If I'm sitting in the car in a parking lot and I see someone walk by I have a panic attack. They don't even have to be near the car. Even if I don't see the people but I know someone is there like in another room I have panic attacks. I can't talk on the phone for the same reasons. While currently writing this I'm starting to feel the beginning effects of panic attacks. I could just be sitting at home but if I even think about something involving human contact I freak out. I'm at the end of my rope with what to do. While I've gone to therapy I can never last more than 4 sessions before I can't force myself to endure the fear any longer. Every time I go it gets harder not easier. So I can't go to therapy. I'm miserable and it sucks. I can't get a job for the obvious reasons and I can't move out. I'm 20 soon to be 21 and still living with my parents but I need to get out of here but I don't know how. I have no way to make money. While being with my family when around others used to make me a little more comfortable, now Its getting to the point where I don't want to be around my family because I'm becoming more uncomfortable. I don't know whats wrong with me or what to do but I need help and don't know how to get it. So if you can offer suggestions I would seriously appreciate it. I just can't take this and the constant fear anymore.

Computer Animations/Games and Video lag?

How old is the computer? I have the same problem with certain games aswell. It may be that your comp. can not handle what the games graphics and things like that. I have lag in videos too but what I do to stop it and make it work perfectly is on the corner there is a number maybe 720,480,360, or 240 (on youtube). If you lower it to 240 it would make it not lag at all, but it'll look crappier but at least you will be able to see whats going on.

Best buy interview went well but no call back?

So recently I had a best buy interview. I dress nice I was polite and they even called me out on my computer skills. Which I proved to them flawlessly. Even though I applied to be a cashier etc.. Towards the end they called me a Green Candidate which means I'm young and they're willing to train me etc.. I also had to initial and sign some contracts about drug testing, background check etc etc.. This was 2 weeks ago. They told me in the interview that they were still going through interviews. So I called today and they said they were still interviewing. I know last time I was told this I didn't get the job at Kmart. I know I have a pretty good shot considering they're looking for 4 cashiers and I told them I'm able to work any hours they need. Can anyone shed some light on this?

I'm getting tired of the same set-up in my room for years. Entertainment center in the corner, bed in the middle, dressers on each side, nightstands, etc. Is there a site that I can put in the width and length of stuff in my room and the room itself and organize it on here? It would waste too much energy doing in in real life because every things heavy, plugged in, and harder to move because of the carpet. Plus I don't know how I could move everything around. So some might already know this, and I might have just learned but we bought a foreclosed home about a month ago, and the carpet in the living room smelled horrible... it's in good shape, just had an odor to it. After I tried every carpet fresh on the market, nothing helped. After some research I found that baking soda takes the smell out. I sprinkled it on my carpet last night and woke up this morning to a completely FRESH living room. Apparently it works on all types of odors. I thought it was just for the fridge! Best/Cheap way to sound proof a pet room (crating a puppy)?

Hey all, I recently bought an 8 week old puppy and I'm currently in the process of crating him. I'm being told that if I crate him and keep his crate next to me, he will not be able to be alone for while I'm at work ( I work nine hour shifts, but come home at lunch, so he will only be alone for 4 hours at a time). I currently live in an apartment and am trying to sound proof his "room." His room consists of a giant walk-in closet. I was told by some people to put up carpet tiles, egg cartons and even the pink foam boards. I did like the closet with the pink foam boards and I could still hear him pretty well. I dont mind if I hear him, I just don't want to tick off the neighbors. Anyone have any cheap sound proofing ideas/suggestions or know how to crate a puppy fast? I'm even considering going to a relatives how and just staying there a week for the duration of the crating nights.

Our ground floor bedroom was flooded about a year ago, the landlord hired professional cleaners to dry the carpet, the carpet and underlay was never removed from the cement floor, wardrobes and bed were never moved, they said it would be fine. Iphone virus/ I don't know what to do. Please help. :(?

I have the iphone 3Gs and something is wrong with it. Yesterday, anytime i would try to go into safari for yahoo or something, it wouldnt open the window.... once safari was opened, it showed a blank white loading screen then blacked out. everything else on my phone was fine, and it wasnt the internet connection because anything that used internet opened flawlessly. I got so tired of it, that I just thought maybe turning it off and rebooting it would help... How to cure noisy neighbours who won't turn down music volume and laugh off complaints from neighbours about t?

Hi All, I stay in a block of flats in Edinburgh and a guy has moved in above me who continually plays his music at such a high volume that I battle to hear my TV at full volume. He continually moves stuff around the flat and dropping what appear to be heavy objects. I would imagine that his floors are laminated as every sound carries to me who stays below. Myself and the guy who stay above him have been to talk to him about the noises and he ignores us and says its his flat and he'll do as he wishes. He is a tenant in the flat and we cannot find out his landlords name to make a complaint to her. He walks around the flat from room to room and I can hear every sound he makes, if carpets were fitted in his flat it would make 100% difference to the sounds being carried, and all of these complaints happen at all hours of the day whether its 3pm or 3 am. I am a shift worker and this is starting to affect my well being and sleep patterns. Any suggestions on a pay back that would alter his opinion.

Fiance wont get rid of cat even though its a hazard to our child's health!?

my fiance and i have had this cat for less than 6 months and he will not get rid of it even though our house smells like ammonia from the cat peeing on our carpet! im due any day now to have our child and the cat will not stop urinating everywhere and the smell is so bad it gives me a headache! he works nights and sleeps all day so he isnt here long enough to catch the cat urinating on everything. lately the cat has been clawing at our daughters door trying to get in and one day i didnt shut the door all the way and the cat ran in and tried to pee by her crib and when i yelled at the cat it ran under the crib and tried urinating there! im 9 months pregnant and its hard for me to get up quickly and the cat will pee in the floor and when i go to get up to stop it, it will run right past me and hide under the couch. i dont know if its doing this out of spite bc hes angry my fiance works all the time or whats going on with the cat. i know that the smell and ammonia is horrible for the baby and so does he but he still will not get rid of it! any suggestions?

Laptop seems to interrupt router broadcast...?

Download the program "Net Stumbler" and see if there are any other routers in range of yours that are on the same channel. It will tell you what channel they are on, simply log in to the router and change the wireless channel to one different than the other networks. Also, do you have trouble connecting to other wireless networks? It could possibly be you computers wireless card has finally gone bad. If the laptop ruins the connection for the other computer that runs via wireless, then defiantly try the channel thing. Multiple routers on the same channel will interfere with each other. When my mom lived in one of her first apartments, the only way I could get online was to steal internet from the neighbors, and they where all on the same channel (6) and I couldn't stay connected for 30 seconds without getting kicked off. So I downloaded net stumbler, and connected to all the unsecured networks, and changed their channels. lol. I hope this works for you, it really sucks having to go buy a new wireless card, I love being able to move around with my laptop. :P Good luck!

Sims 3 Late Night now working?

I have the Sims 3, Late Night, Ambitions, World Adventures all downloaded from various torrents. I've had Sims 3 LN installed on my laptop for at least a month or two, and it worked flawlessly. Kitten, litter box, behavior?

We got a kitten about a month ago. She's barley two months old. When we first brought her home we put her in the litter box and moved her paw and bam she starting using it. Then today I went into the bathroom to find a piece of feces on the carpet. (her litter box is another room) So I cleaned it up and start cleaning the home. When I went back into the bathroom about a half hour later I found another piece. I now have the bathroom door closed. But I was wondering if anyone could tell me why she is doing this. How Can I Possibly Get An A In This Class If........?

The teacher (Honors class) grades things without a rubric, she will never give anything an A unless its perfect, and if it's perfect, she won't give it 100%. She takes points off all the time, and she doesn't give anything back, or tell us why we got points off for something. It drives me crazy when i do everything she asks for flawlessly, and i don't get full credit. An example of this would be this picture i spent 8 Hours of portrait for a book review, and i followed the guidelines exactly, and i am not the best artist, but she only have it a 90, because she has seen better in the past. Another example would be this photoshopped picture i spent a few hours on, and it looked really good, and contained all of the aspects she asked for, when she got it, she said she loved it, and that it was one of the best that she has ever received from this assignment. she ended up giving it a 90. which is better than everyone else i guess, who got 70s, and 60s. it drives me crazy that whatever i do for her, I never get credit for what i do. I have a 89% in that class (which is good considering 3/4 of the class is failing), which stinks for me because i really want an A, and I have an average to maintain. what should i do? whenever i ask her she doesn't want to talk about it, and i find it hard to learn from my mistakes if i don't know what i did wrong.

HDMI laptop to TV connection problems?

About 2 months ago, the screen on my HP G60 laptop stopped working. I think it's a connection problem that is too expensive to fix. So until I can get a new computer, I've been connecting the laptop to my Dynex TV via HDMI. okay we are getting our carpet cleaned professionally. For about 50.00 more we can add deodorizer and stain protection to our order. Will I ever "grow out" of my HSV infection?

I've been infected with herpes labialis for as long as I can remember, and each time I get it, it affects me worse than the last. Not only is my face and nose scarred from years of persistent infection, every time it flares up I become depressed and extremely self-conscious. My self esteem plummets. I hate having these stupid bumps on my face. A couple days ago, I got sunburned, which triggered a large flare up. I have three spots on my face, one of which is over an inch in diameter. I have graduation, awards day, and a concert coming up within the next week, and I can't feel fine until it goes away. My question is will I ever grow out of it? LAPD Appeal Denied - What Now?

I have a question regarding what happens after the review panel has seen an appeal and denies it. Let me give some insight as how I got to this point. I have been going through the hiring process with LA City since Dec 09, experiencing various delays along the way but I remained dedicated to the process. I have been successful throughout the entire process up until my psych interview when it was determined that I neglected to mention a previous work injury (approx 10 years ago) during my medical evaluation. My medical appointment was before I even had a sit down meeting with my BI, so from a medical standpoint I don't even think of this injury simply because it has been non issue for almost 9 years. When I met with my BI I did disclose the work injury to account for time out of work and workers comp payments received. The Background department checked into the injury and my claim against my previous employer and deemed it to be legitimet and cleared me from the background process. My medical exam went flawlessly, they would have never known I had the injury if I didn't mention it; I passed all aspects of their testing components. As a result, I appealed this decision to remove me from the process; they based their initial decision on a concern of my integrity. With my appeal I submitted approx 13 letters of recommendation / referrence from friends in various occupations ranging from police officers to doctors and city attorneys - there was even one from the Govenor's office. My oversight of mentioning this work injury during my medical process was not an intention to decieve in any way, it just is something that is far from my mind - medically speaking. Perhaps if I had the interview with my BI first it would have been more in the front of my mind since I disclosed it to them. Ok, here's my question - if the appeal was denied how do you keep fighting? I'm a firm believer that if something is worth having it is absolutely worth fighting for. I'm fighting for my career and a better life for my family so I have every incentive to push as much as I can. The interesting part about this is the background department is on my side, they believe this to be a technicality that medical services decided to blow up unnecessarily. I'm willing to do whatever, write to whoever, I just need some advise and direction. Any help anyone can provide will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your time and help.

Why isnt my internet working right?

well i've had wireless for years now and it's never done this until the last few months but the wireless disconnects at least once a day and doesn't come back on until i use the turn off for ten seconds trick and usually i have to unplug it for like 15 minutes before it comes back, but the wired connection (ethernet) from the very same router works flawlessly on the desk top. actually it started around the time we got the new desktop comp. but i don't think they're related but i suppose anythings possible. its weird the wireless just poof no connection at all no signal.

Audacity: Error Opening .aup file?

I created an .aup file that could open flawlessly the first few days after I finished it. Now, Audacity won't open it because it "can't find the project data folder". Well, the folder is untouched and is right in the system of my mac (I can easily locate it). Can straining your eyes to focus cause vitreous floaters?

I'm a 24-year-old male. I posted a question on here not long ago about vitreous floaters. My situation is quite complex, but I'll try to explain. I suffer from obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). I have a particularly bad obsession with proofreading things to the point where I have to look at every individual letter of a word. I often have to strain my eyes in order to do this. Is it possible that eye strain can cause vitreous floaters? I gather that the general consensus is no. I've tried to think about this. Straining your eyes to focus would mean putting stress on the ciliary muscle that changes the shape of the lens, right? Could this muscle being pushed to the extreme, and therefore the lens being pushed to the extreme, somehow cause vitreous floaters? I go through absolute hell with my OCD, as I know many others do, and I'm now worried that this crippling mental illness may have caused these vitreous floaters. Thanks for your replies.

I agree with KellyG that there will be speculation, since the media is reporting there was no note. There are often typical reasons that people take their lives. Marital infidelity, fear of an impending investigation or arrest for misconduct, double life, embezzlement, self loathing, terminal illness,....and the list goes on. As someone in a helping profession I can attest to the fact that there is no one answer to "why does someone take their life?" The reasons are as vast and diverse as there are people. What is so perplexing is when someone who appears (and that's a key issue...appears) to have his or her life in order decides to commit suicide. People can't understand the old saying that "most men lead lives of quiet desperation." Bruce Jamerson was a gracious, educated, intelligent and kind gentleman. That's the exterior people experienced. Perhaps none of us has a clue as to what was REALLY going on inside. Maybe he was a major control freak...everything neat and tidy. Actually I would have to say that is a given. Perhaps in the middle of all that there may have been something very untidy that he simply could not deal with, and he saw as the only way out the ending of his life. I can only feel sadness at his passing, but not the blame for not being there for him. That is the big difference between genuine FRIENDS and mere acquaintances. The true friends are few in life, though we may have loads of people pass for friends but are just acquaintances. He chose to be thoughtful and send cards and notes to just about everyone. Most people don't do that. It was a gracious gesture, but seeing it now in retrospect, who knows why he did that? To be liked? To be held in high regard? Or simply to be kind. We may never know. Regardless of what, if anything may be revealed in the days ahead, I hope that he will always be remembered for being the gentleman that he was.

Do new guns require a significant amount of breaking in time?

i have 2 marlin model 60 semi-auto 22 caliber rifles. one is brand new and the other 17 years old with alot of rounds fired through it. while out shooting the other day 2 different brand names of ammo was used. while the new rifle had some jams and failures to feed with one brand of ammo, the older rifle functioned flawlessly with both brands of ammo. it appeared as though the problem with the jamming in the new rifle was a couple of stovepipe jams, but most of the time the bolt failed to come back far enough to push another round into the chamber. i tend to think the reason is a combination of 2 things in the new rifle. one brand of ammo wasnt quite as powerful as the other, and maybe because the the new rifle being new and with a stiffer recoil spring, it was faling to come back far enough to engage a new round. also the new rifle has a much stiffer trigger pull. are these monir problems likely to correct themselves as i fire more rounds through the rifle?

Odd paranormal possibly Astral Projection experience?

It was a sleepover, for a birthday party of my friend Holly. She had three girls in the room along with her. Once we all were asleep, (In which i don't even remember falling asleep) weird things began to happen. I remember staring up at Holly's stepfather's face as he stood by the doorway looking around. I was very small for some reason. He shut off the light and i collapsed onto the ground. Holly could also recall standing in front of him in the middle of the night too, and trying to speak to him with no prevail. I remember myself crawling on the ground until i found myself filling up the missing spot in a circle of shadow people who i believed to be all the people in the room at the time. We were all in sync, moving flawlessly and pulling this silky light out of the ground in the shapes of different things. I can only remember the shape of a butterfly. Holly said she could recall seeing white lights in the middle of the night as well, proving what i witnessed was going to be realer then it was supposed to be, that it was more than a dream. After doing this ritual type thing of a while, i snapped out of it and i was back in my body and i was shaking violently and i crawled around the floor searching for my friends. I found them and fell back asleep. The next morning i asked Holly's stepfather if he walked into the room and turned off the light in the middle of the night. He said he did!!! I asked him if me and Holly were standing next to him and he said no, and he said that everyone was asleep. Please explain what happened. I cant seem to find any answers!!! I've seen these shadow people three other times, especially when I'm with Holly, and its always in the shape of Holly. Please help!!

Period nightmare! Help!?

I was at my boyfriend's house yesterday but it was storming very badly so I had to spend the night unexpectedly. I'm on birth control and we're sexually active. He's 22 and I'm 17. Who do we turn too when nothing is done with bullies in school?

My grandson is 14 and is constantly bullied at school. Examples being choked with his tie, a bottle being thrust down his throat and stamping on his feet and calling him a cripple. He was at the bus stop and they tried to push him in the road as the bus was coming. It is distressing for his parents and siblings and me as his grandmother. His parents have on numerous occasions been to the school to sort things out. They had someone come to the house to help all to no avail. The last time he got bullied it was a friday both my daughter and I talked with the deputy head who's mind seemed to be elsewhere said that on the monday she would talk with my daughter. My grandson was kept off school on monday as my daughter wasn't going to let him be bullied anymore. The head never called. My grandson has numerous things wrong with his physical and mental abilities, one being he cannot remember things after a short time. He is going for a major operation in september and then another one a month later. He will be in a wheelchair for at least six months. My daughter was told at one time that these children have special needs. So what has my grandson got? they seem to have a mind that knows doing what they are doing inflicts hurt on my grandson. My daughter gets praised for the way her children have manners and are helpful and are a pleasure to have in class. I do say that my grandson is a lovely boy who is helpful and will offer to help with anything. Please can anyone tell us what our next step is?

Apartment manager neglects to repair anything?

I recently moved in an Apartment complex and have had many issues with repairs. I contacted the owner and he did not respond. I called code enforcement who agreed many of these items needed to be fixed. Now the owner is angry with me. Also I paid a200 non-refundable pet deposit but why? there is already huge pee/poop stains all over the carpet. The owner said because he had a steam cleaner person steam the rugs it is fine to rent in this condition. The patio deck is about to fall down the wood is rotten. I dont want to move but rather have these things repaired as they should have before I moved in. Any suggestions? There was over 100 nails in the walls when I moved in so the owner had only 2 walls painted and the painter got paint all over the ceiling.

sounds like what's called a "hot soak restart".it's usually caused by the evaporative emissions system. this system vents fuel fumes from the fuel tank to the air intake,to keep them from escaping to the atmosphere.i do mostly outboards now,so i can't tell you the cure,but try this: the next time you use it,when you get to your destination,remove the fuel cap.if the engine starts normally when you are ready to leave, there will be a plugged/crimped line,filter etc. in the system.there may even be a recall.might check with sea doo's web site to see. good luck!

Not easy to say without knowing the type of dye and the type of carpet , but the short answer is you are unlikely to get it all out , sponging with cold soapy water should help or getting a carpet cleaning guy to come and have a go are all I can suggest.

Windows 7 Previous Versions?

This really angers me. I have this dumb little problem where no matter what I do I get "There are no previous versions available" upon right clicking Restore pervious versions. I've went so far as to disable system restore with the exception of shadow copies. I've clicked create a restore point, then modified a file inside a folder, then clicked create a restore point again and then try to see if i can get a previous version and to no avail. This is a fresh install of windows 7. The thing is, i had to reinstall windows afew months ago and afterwards the feature worked flawlessly. Then i switched to OSX86 for a while and now i just recently reinstalled windows 7 again and even though i have a fresh install it still doesn't work. Please help!

What are the red bites in my legs from?

I Have cleaned everything. My clothes, the carpets, the dogs and NOTHING. The dogs don't have fleas and my bed doesn't seem to have bed bugs. The bumps or bites are mainly located on my feet ankle and calves. The bumps are small and look like flea bites but I cannot find any fleas. I'm 16. Sometimes, I feel way too paranoid. Whenever I go downstairs and it's dark, instead of just feeling scared, I imagine that there are monsters waiting for me in the dark-like zombies, flesh-eating demons and animal-like creatures that screech and try to tear me apart. Darkness is a crippling fright. I'm always afraid there will be a dead person watching me from the corner at times. I check behind my shower curtains if I feel uneasy, and when I close my eyes in the shower, I'm afraid of being grabbed, or seeing a person with a melted face when I open my eyes. I have to turn all the lights on around me, but I feel safe when I'm home alone, lol. I also have ADD, and had I guess what you could call OCD as a child. What do I do?

Severe Fear of People and I don't know what to do?

Ok so I have a severe and crippling fear of people. I don't ever leave the house except when I am forced to by my parents. I honestly don't know whats wrong with me. I've been to multiple therapists who assume I have Social Phobia but I don't think I do. My problem isn't really with talking to people its with being around them. If I am around other people or even just one person I have really bad panic attacks. If I'm sitting in the car in a parking lot and I see someone walk by I have a panic attack. They don't even have to be near the car. Even if I don't see the people but I know someone is there like in another room I have panic attacks. I can't talk on the phone for the same reasons. While currently writing this I'm starting to feel the beginning effects of panic attacks. I could just be sitting at home but if I even think about something involving human contact I freak out. I'm at the end of my rope with what to do. While I've gone to therapy I can never last more than 4 sessions before I can't force myself to endure the fear any longer. Every time I go it gets harder not easier. So I can't go to therapy. I'm miserable and it sucks. I can't get a job for the obvious reasons and I can't move out. I'm 20 soon to be 21 and still living with my parents but I need to get out of here but I don't know how. I have no way to make money. While being with my family when around others used to make me a little more comfortable, now Its getting to the point where I don't want to be around my family because I'm becoming more uncomfortable. I don't know whats wrong with me or what to do but I need help and don't know how to get it. So if you can offer suggestions I would seriously appreciate it. I just can't take this and the constant fear anymore.

Alienware m14x Processors and RAM?

I am thinking of getting the m14x but the price is a little high for me. What i want to know is, do i absolutely have to have the 3.3Ghz processor or will the 2.9Ghz be enough? Also should i upgrade the RAM to 6GB or 8GB or will 4GB be enough to play pretty much all games smoothly? I have already decided on getting the 3GB video card so I guess that should improve the performance. My Xbox is overheating!!!?

My Xbox just gets 2 red rings. I searched google and I found out that it means that's it's overheating. So I let it cool down for about 4-5 hours and get back on to play and it works for about 5 minutes and then it shuts off again. I was told to get it off the carpet so I did but it still won't work. I put about 5 psp cases under the xbox so it doesent over heat on my stand but nothing. Does any one know any tips or tricks I can do to prevent it. Also sometimes I try to play and it worked for about 2 hours then I think it's been fixed but the next day I have the same problem. Can anyone help me?

It doesn't sound childish at all. These are all valid concerns and stressors, honestly I don't really know what to tell you but I just wanted to let you know that it doesn't sound childish and that everything you're feeling is super valid. You are actually one of the more down to earth people on here. I would recommend not worrying about the weight issue and trying to focus more on looking as healthy as possible, that's what people tend to find pretty, try not to stress too much about that either though. Also if you're mom is not supportive try looking for support from outside of your family. I have the same problem, so I found support from adults who aren't related to me and it has helped me a lot.

LAPD Appeal Denied - What now?

I have a question regarding what happens after the review panel has seen an appeal and denies it. Let me give some insight as how I got to this point. I have been going through the hiring process with LA City since Dec 09, experiencing various delays along the way but I remained dedicated to the process. I have been successful throughout the entire process up until my psych interview when it was determined that I neglected to mention a previous work injury (approx 10 years ago) during my medical evaluation. My medical appointment was before I even had a sit down meeting with my BI, so from a medical standpoint I don't even think of this injury simply because it has been non issue for almost 9 years. When I met with my BI I did disclose the work injury to account for time out of work and workers comp payments received. The Background department checked into the injury and my claim against my previous employer and deemed it to be legitimet and cleared me from the background process. My medical exam went flawlessly, they would have never known I had the injury if I didn't mention it; I passed all aspects of their testing components. As a result, I appealed this decision to remove me from the process; they based their initial decision on a concern of my integrity. With my appeal I submitted approx 13 letters of recommendation / referrence from friends in various occupations ranging from police officers to doctors and city attorneys - there was even one from the Govenor's office. My oversight of mentioning this work injury during my medical process was not an intention to decieve in any way, it just is something that is far from my mind - medically speaking. Perhaps if I had the interview with my BI first it would have been more in the front of my mind since I disclosed it to them. Ok, here's my question - if the appeal was denied how do you keep fighting? I'm a firm believer that if something is worth having it is absolutely worth fighting for. I'm fighting for my career and a better life for my family so I have every incentive to push as much as I can. The interesting part about this is the background department is on my side, they believe this to be a technicality that medical services decided to blow up unnecessarily. I'm willing to do whatever, write to whoever, I just need some advise and direction. Any help anyone can provide will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your time and help.

Doorway carpet damaged by ferrets...any suggestions?

My furry children do not like being denied access to certain rooms, and as a result have damaged the carpet beneath a few doors. I'm not interested in laying more tile or in replacing the carpets at this point. I'm looking for a solution that will cover the damage that has been done and not look horrible. A few of the doors have carpet on one side and ceramic tile on the other, one has carpet on both sides. Is there a transition piece (not sure what they're called) that would be wide enough to cover the damage (about 4" at the widest)? If anyone else has had this problem, I would appreciate any ideas! HOA in Orlando Florida is a monstrosity. Two payments per month, late and reminder fees, don't answer questions, $500 for leasing out my unit. Wii Fit scale or real scale?

What could the problem be?

Ok, so. I've owned an enV3 for about a year and a half now and had absolutely zero problems until this month (Surprising seeing as these things tend to break quite easily). Having heard that these phones tend to break I took the phone to the verizon store to see what could be done. The phone would; say a message had failed when it had actually sent, send triples of the same message, wait until I had at least 3 other messages to receive before I received any, and had issues calling people. So when I went to the store they removed the messaging and calling capabilities and restored the phone and gave it back. That worked fine for about 5 days. Then all of those problems started to happen again. Figuring it was the phone, I moved my number onto my backup phone (a motorola razr, remember those?). The same issues (mainly the saying a message had failed when it had really been sent) popped up in a matter of minutes. I again figured it was the phone and switched to my friends old enV touch... the problems still followed. Now I have no idea what the problem could be. It can't be the phones, I've gone through three of them and the older ones had worked flawlessly before. Could the problem be within my number? In my house my brother and mom both use their phones and have no issues whatsoever. Does anybody have a clue as to what is going on? Thanks.

I'm a 19 year old guy, I've bn playing about 3 years, and can play a variety of different songs. I'm looking for some cool easyish songs on guitar, that rely a lot vocally. I dnt know my vocal range exactly but its pretty decent, I'm thinking about covering rolling in the deep by adele, I can play n sing it flawlessly if I move it down a step so maybe sum songs like that.

2007 Saab 9-3 2.0T Sedan Idle issues?

I've had spark plugs, fluids, and filters changed. I've cleaned the throttle body, reset ecu, and software updated but what factors affect idle? Software update fixed spark plug adaptation and stalling. Also before update car occasionally idled at 720. I could drive it for weeks and it would idle at 900. Saab tech checked for vacuum leaks, none. They did agree idle was a bit higher then norm and programmed it to idle 15 rpms lower. So now with the a/c it idles at 720. I have noticed in the recent days that car idles flawlessly on a full tank. Don't have to wait for idle to drop, but when 1/2 full there are problems. Ex. full, car idles at 720. I can turn it off as many times and it still idles at 720. It says in manual car should idle at 720 unless there is load ex. turning steering wheel. Less then full car idles at 720 but I have to wait awhile and if I turn it off forget about it. It will idle at 900 until it wants to drop. It eventually drops after a few starts or being driven for 10 or more minutes. Usually it sounds funny and my lights dim for a second before the drop. Is this the correct way the trionic 8 operates? I'm trying to pinpoint an exact cause for this. Any guesses? I don't want to replace the battery if not necessary. If the battery is low or there is a drop in voltage can that put load on the engine maybe making the alternator work harder to compensate for the lack of power? I notice that un/locking makes the interior lights dim slightly. My headlights and SID dim slightly as well. Its not very noticeable but I can tell if I look hard enough. I think its related to the battery. If I leave the radio on or a door open for awhile while cleaning the car it idles high for awhile but I've never had to get a jump and car doesn't take long to start.

Help! My dogs fleas wont go away?

I took my dog to the dog park and he got fleas. We gave him a flea bath and then proceeded with flea medication and he still has them! Oh, and we treated our carpets with the leave in treatment all night last night (all treatments were today except for carpet treatment) My husband just picked off another flea! What do we do? I should mention, we give our dog flea medication regularly so I don't understand how he got them in the first place.

HP Pavillion A6430F won't boot at all?

Hi, I have a hp A6430f desktop, phenom x3, vista premium that has been running flawlessly for the last 3 years. I blew off the cooling fins around the processor, the fans, then vacuumed it out which I do on a regular basis. Went to start it up and nothing, won't boot up to anything. I get a couple of flickers on the hard drive light, then nothing. Re-seated the ram, pressed the different connectors figuring I may have knocked something loose. Any ideas where to go from here? There is an indicator light on the back of the tower that is green. Thanks

I dropped my Xperia 8 on the floor while it was wasted but charging and not it wont turn on? My laptop is actually quite a powerful gaming PC for a laptop and can flawlessly run most games but... The only problem is it runs vista. Not that there's anything wrong with vista but honestly it's a cpu hog. I was just wondering if there was a program (besides gamebooster) that can temporarily shut down most of vista's processes that aren't really required for gaming. If possible I would like a way to completely shut out vista while I game.

okay so this is going to be very long but please help me out if u have the time to read this? when i was 1 things were bad with my family mom says my dad was violent and evil n stuff and they divorced and my mom tried to take us away but in the end court ordered my dad custody of me my brother and sister who were 6 and 8 and i was 2 . well i kind of had a normal life id ontremember much but my step mom was mean slapped us in the face and cursed and stuff my dad wasnt really there from what ic an remember i remember he wuld buy me toys. when i got older he kind of became my hero idk why he wasnt around but he never hit me or cursed he bought me things and took me to cool places.and i always slacked off in school he never made me go and nevermade me do things. i had a suicide attempt at 16 and i dont even know why i did it i just dont want to exist ever since i wa sa little child i never wanted to exist. things got bad at 14 my step mom left and the house was moldy and discusting falling apart dishes broken furniture everywhere. i finally moved at 16 after suicide attempt dad bought a house in the ghetoo and the house was real small and kinda ghetoo but at least the carpet was new and it wasnt moldy. i liked it at first.well my dad decided he needed a new girlfriend. she smoked pot. my dad thought it was for medical purposes but she was heavy smoked it every day hotboxing her room and she even shared it with me i spent alot of my timegetting high and hating life hung out with bad friends and making out with boys letting them do whatever to me except sex because i dont know why but i have a very hard time looking at my vagina even at the doctors i cant let them touch it and open it it bothers me i just cant do it i cant even put a tamponn in i have to use pads my mom said my dad sexually abused me and thats why i am like this but i dontthink he culd do such a thing. hes never touched me down there that i can remember or even looked. its just he does lose controll sometimes and curse now and push me down but then again so can i can be very violent throw things and cuss so badly i have anger issues and the problem with me is i finally had a chance to move back with my mom i mean i do like it i have a room a bathroo i have that at my dads house too but it doesnt feel like my home i ask if i can have food or use the bathroom like a guest. i have to volunteer at a school and im trying to get thru high school now im 17 and im trying to get my high school diploma but i have no credits at all but now im feeling so sick and tired of life i want to give up again i just dont have the will to try to live and do things i need to do. i just dont want to think or do anything but sleep all day and all night. i cant think right and i have been on depression medication for long time i just got off like a few months ago i dont want to go bak they only made me fat and moremiserable. ive gone as far as not eating for days and eatting alot becuz i got so desperate and not eating and now im back there imt rying to lose weight but i just cant eat im so upset and i dont know why im always angry i dont want to exist and i dont want to do anything

Hey! So I'm about to head off to sunny Cali for vacation, and I'm dying to get a new concealer to cover up my skin blemishes.
