Tech support cant help me at all!!!!?

I have a Netgear 3400 wireless router. it works... ITs online... it broad casts. My desktop when wired to it get online perfectly. my cell phone can connect to it just find and get online. BUT my laptop cant. It also wont get online wia a LAN port either. It shows as enabled when I plug it in but no internet at all. WHen I tether from my cell phone it works just fine. and my old router worked flawlessly as well. BUt not either of the two recent ones I tried. A cisco and this Netgear. same prob with both. its gotta be a setting with my laptop. I run windows 7 if you can help please do
